Magic Doodle Dandy
In addition to coloring, Julianna likes working with the 'Magic Doodle' which is a cool drawing mat that uses water and a mat to do temporary drawings (they evaporate with the water). Julianna also loves collecting the leaves that are starting to fall from some of the tree's. Now I just need to teach her how to use the rake and we'll be all set this fall. We round out this collection with some pictures by the window as we watched the birds, deer, and whatever else happened to be moving through our yard, and some play set pictures.
No cookie for you Papa!
This collection of pictures captures Julianna continuing to work on her potty skills (and the patience of her parents :), our teeth/tongue brushing regiment, the fascination with the phone, and of course the crazy look I got when I asked Julianna for some of her cookie.
Big School Girl
This collection captures Julianna waiting for school to start. We have 5-10 minutes each morning which are filled with all kinds of exploring or as many fun activities as you can do standing in line with 20+ parents and kids. We enjoy such activities as ring-a-round-the-daddy where Julianna holds my hand and we spin around in circles or the dance around in place and show the other parents and children how excited we are about school! WOOHOO! Julianna also loves looking at the babies that are in line in addition to making new friends from other class rooms while goofing around. The other pictures capture Julianna doing what she loves which is outside time with the watering can, coloring, and a shot of Julianna fresh from a nap.
Weekend Warrior
This set of pictures captures a couple of trips to feed the turtles and some other various shots.
First Week of Preschool
Julianna enjoyed her first week of play school learning all kinds of new things and meeting new friends.
Tug Bug
One of our methods for potty time is reading a book while we wait. We also like to take 'Selfie' pictures where we turn the iphone camera around and can see ourselves in the screen before taking. We also like playing with playdoh and making 'cakes' from all the colors. And of course pretty much anything having to do with water if fun and wondrous.
You don’t have a thing if you don’t have that swing…
Julianna loves to swing and play on her playset. This collection captures some of the fun we had.
Return of the Big Hair
This collection of photo's capture Julianna in action. Julianna has graduated from picking the straws to taking the box and fishing one out, playing in the driveway splashing the puddles, exploring crayon's and coloring, covering her face in shame as Papa sings, bath time hair, sun glasses are the new fun item to play with, getting close with the tricycle, and has a new love of teddy bears.
Ducks and Turtles
Sorry for the drought of posts, we have 4 posts queued up after this one that captures Julianna enjoying the many different parts of Summer. This posts documents Julianna early in the morning exploring around the house and then again later in the day for a trip to the pond to feed the ducks, geese, turtles, and fish.
Summer in Motion (Part 2)
Here is part two of the video postings:
Julianna Coloring (2:00) - This video shows off Julianna's ability to draw a line, dots, and circles. Julianna did not identify the colors in the video this time but is normally pretty good at picking out colors such as Pink.
Bath Time (1:00) - Julianna loves bath time and this video captures the fun of stomping water and splashing the water.
Melon (1:07) - This video captures how funny Julianna says Melon. She gets the M for Melon and Wah-ter for Watermelon and then uses her tongue to run over the rest. Cantaloupe was what we were going for this time.
