Summer in Motion

This post and the next capture Julianna over the last month enjoying some of her favorite activities and new found voice.

Playing Catch (1:00) - Julianna loves playing catch both inside and out. This video captures some inside time as she throws it to the dogs and to me.

Chasing Shadows (1:19) - Julianna showing off her speech and communication skills. Also a good example of how Julianna will grab your hand and try and pull you to what she wants to do.

Dance Dance (0:47)  - This video shows off Julianna 'dancing' to September, one of our new favorite songs.

Keep on Sliding!

This collection of photo's catches Julianna in some of her favorite activities. She loves playing with sun glasses, running in the rain, letting her little people slide down the slide, hula's, and playing the drums. First time using the umbrella though it was more a novelty of holding it more than anything. Also working the slide action with her little people and wrapping up the post with some awesome drumming.

Fly Girl

We are not on a flight path but from time to time will get a flight fly over the house. Julianna loves to find the plane in the sky, point, and wave at the plane that fly by all the while saying 'hey...hey'. The next four shots capture Julianna playing with her Hula's which we pull out every time we play outside at the play set. For shot #6 we treated Julianna to watermelon slices which we stripped her down for, it gets everywhere! It was fresh and tasted great. Put a shot in from our morning sippy cup lessons and a shot of Julianna's favorite sandals. We finish out the set with Julianna enjoying some fresh melon. She has had this fruit before but never on the rind.

Sweet Summer Fun

The first shot captures Julianna coming back from Salsa Fresh from Lunch drinking her lemonade. Papa spoils her by letting her keep the cup. Julianna still has the habit of turning up the cup when it gets to the bottom. The second shot is of Julianna fresh from a nap, smiling, and waiting to be picked up out of her crib. Picture 3 and 4 capture some work we have been doing to get Julianna used to drinking out of a cup by using a 3 ounce cup with 2 ounces of liquid. So far so good! The shot of the tub is sans bubbles as the all natural soap we were using doesn't produce bubbles...but it does produce amazing skin. We have gone back to our previous soap...NEED THOSE BUBBLES! We then round out the post with two shots of Julianna drinking her morning OJ and the last shot is Julianna running back to the house with her hair swishing about. Frannie is such a good sport for working with her and the leash.

Little Dirty Feet

As the summer continues to march forward she continues to enjoy her play set, sandbox, and the many joys of summer such as time out on the deck and running around bare foot. On the development side her vocabulary of spoken words increases daily as she has started to complete sentences of books she knows by heart and she has 'yes' and 'no' down. Unfortunately sometimes gets stuck on the 'no' word but that's just a phase...hopefully a quick phase! 🙂

Summer Time Veggies

We have a little garden that we have going with some tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and a couple of herbs. Julianna helps us with the watering with her own sized can. We have a couple things on the vine but nothing yet harvested.

Summer Strawberries

This collection captures Julianna enjoying some of her favorite activities including fruit, visiting the pond, staking blocks, and playing outside. Enjoy!

Summer Reading

Catching up with Julianna being a good girl while we do errands, showing that bath time is always fun time, getting in mom's house slippers, lining up her little people to watch the people across the street doing tree work, and then the last couple are of her reading in her room, downstairs, and playing on her sit in spin.

Trip to the pond!

Here are a couple of video's from a trip last weekend to our little 'lake' that is teeming with fish, turtles, geese, and a couple of ducks (which didn't make it over this time around). Julianna refers to the geese as ducks, we just roll with it for now, enjoy!

Here come the ducks!

Breakfest Expert

Julianna knows how to work the system, getting some of my cereal before moving on to a fruit which for the last 6 months has been grapes. Or Grey-pee's as we like to jokingly call them. And Julianna can now clean her own hands which she shows for us in picture #4. Also caught up with Julianna in the tub with the last shot showing off how long her hair is getting!

Born: June 10, 2012 at 11:54PM Weight: 9 Pounds and 9 Ounces Length: 22 Inches, Birthstone: Pearl

Gemini: May 21 – June 20

The Gemini child is very curious. All facets of life fascinate her, and she loves to explore nature. Gemini Baby quickly learns how to talk and walk. Her parents must watch her carefully because she often strays from view. She needs to wander, to walk, to know, to communicate. She gets bored quite easily, and needs to develop multiple interests. She is the kind of person who can do many things at the same time.

The Year of the Dragon – 2012

The Dragon is one of the most powerful and lucky Signs of the Chinese Zodiac. Its warm heart makes the Dragon's brash, fiery energy far more palatable. This is a giving, intelligent and tenacious Sign that knows exactly what it wants and is determined to get it. Dragons possess a certain natural, charming charisma that ensures they can always influence their peers and often find themselves the center of attention in social situations. This Sign is truly blessed, too; Dragons are considered to be very lucky in love! The Dragon's friends are always keen to hear what this firebrand has to say and when it comes to dispensing advice, the Dragon has the floor.
