Summer in Motion (Part 2)
Here is part two of the video postings:
Julianna Coloring (2:00) - This video shows off Julianna's ability to draw a line, dots, and circles. Julianna did not identify the colors in the video this time but is normally pretty good at picking out colors such as Pink.
Bath Time (1:00) - Julianna loves bath time and this video captures the fun of stomping water and splashing the water.
Melon (1:07) - This video captures how funny Julianna says Melon. She gets the M for Melon and Wah-ter for Watermelon and then uses her tongue to run over the rest. Cantaloupe was what we were going for this time.
Summer in Motion
This post and the next capture Julianna over the last month enjoying some of her favorite activities and new found voice.
Playing Catch (1:00) - Julianna loves playing catch both inside and out. This video captures some inside time as she throws it to the dogs and to me.
Chasing Shadows (1:19) - Julianna showing off her speech and communication skills. Also a good example of how Julianna will grab your hand and try and pull you to what she wants to do.
Dance Dance (0:47) - This video shows off Julianna 'dancing' to September, one of our new favorite songs.
Trip to the pond!
Here are a couple of video's from a trip last weekend to our little 'lake' that is teeming with fish, turtles, geese, and a couple of ducks (which didn't make it over this time around). Julianna refers to the geese as ducks, we just roll with it for now, enjoy!
Here come the ducks!
Feeding the ducks
Giving Chase
Here are a couple cute video's from the past week.
Julianna and I love to play chase, this video captures us in the morning running around the house for a bit:
Julianna loves her little trampoline, this video captures the moment as she jumps for a bit.
Rainy Days and Fun with Doors
We took two video's of Julianna yesterday that capture her playing in puddles of water, one of her favorite things to do, and playing with the door to the laundry after which she puts up the dogs for the morning. The first one is very cute but the second one is pretty funny with Julianna all but slamming the door on me at one. If these seems a little blurry, click the gears icon and set it to 720 which should be a bit better. It defaults to 360 I believe.

Close the Door!
Julianna in Motion.
The family has been battling some illness which has affected posting. Here are three video's that show off different aspects over the last two months:
Cheese! The oldest clip taken on Dec 8th, 2013 finds Julianna and Papa siting down for a fun snack of....CHEESE!
Billy Jean - This clip is only about a month old and finds Julianna starting to dance to Michael Jackson's Billy Jean which is playing in the other room. If you turn up the volume a bit you can hear it. This video includes all of our dancing moves including stomping our feet!
Taking a Stroll - This clip finds Julianna taking a stroll around the house during last week's awesome 70's weather. Julianna ends the video with an exhibition of step climbing and hand clapping...though Leonardo Dicaprio ended up not winning.
Enjoy!

Dancing Girl!
With our love of music Julianna has had plenty of opportunity to be exposed to all types of music. From Country to Rock to Classical to Jazz to Bluegrass. And in that journey Julianna has discovered that music has rhythm and a beat and with help from Mommy has learned some dancing moves that she uses when she hears a song that is dance worthy... in her mind. Though I'm not sure how many times she has heard "Billy Jean" from Michael Jackson this morning it put her into motion and I was able to quickly capture on my iphone. Unfortunately you have to turn the volume up pretty high to hear the song in the background but it is there.
Video’s
I like to take video shorts of Julianna, 1-2 minutes long. The idea I have is that anything longer than that and it becomes a bit monotonous. Not exactly Vine length but entertaining shorts that tell stories that my pictures cannot capture:
Sometimes the cheap toys are the best toys. Julianna warms up the video set by showing off just how fun a bag of dog food can be! This would be the same bag of dog food that made our dogs sick and ended up having to trash the whole bag...that was a fun 5 days. But at least Julianna had some fun with it.
Our second video shows how Bath Time is Fun Time for Julianna. While the water warms and fills the bathtub up she likes to run around upstairs. Notice how she is unsure of the darkness...but not so much on the running around and climbing. SO EXCITING!
Third up on our list has our two boston's Lulu and Frannie showing love and respect for Julianna as Julianna plays ball with the boston's...and manage not to knock Julianna over while focused on getting the tennis ball from Julianna.
Our last video is at the Millbrook Exchange Park which is one of our favorite parks that we frequent. The playground surface is a rubber bouncy surface, it has a great sandbox, swings, and the jungle gym has a slide that Julianna is quickly mastering how to climb up and go down the slide. Another cool feature of the park is that it has a dog park which we also frequent to look and watch the doggies (from afar). This video is a 2 minute shot that shows off how much fun Julianna has with the swing.
These video's are HD so feel free to go full screen for the full effect.
Breakfast Magic
Julianna for the past several months has been building her vocabulary such that when you say a word or phrase Julianna knows and will react appropriately to what was said. This first video follows Julianna during a typical morning of Papa saying the magic words "Get your spoons!" and "Time for Yogi!".
This second video is from my iPhone and uses slow motion to show off Julianna's eating skills. It starts in normal speed and then goes in to 'slo-mo' about 5 seconds in. Julianna is such a good sport.
This last short video shows what typically happens...
These video's were shot using the iphone 5s.
Peek-A-Boo Papa
Julianna and Mom after bath time over the past couple of weeks have been playing "Peek-a-boo" with Papa. Julianna showed such energy and excitement that I decided last week to video some of them and this video is the result. Enjoy!
