Day 5 Bath Revisited
When Mama comes back from her trip we will be transitioning from the tub in the sink to a standard tub that is better suited for her splashing shenanigans. Plus with a bigger tub comes more space for toys and surface area for some of the cool tub stickers and crayon's that they have out for kids now. Gone are the days of dragging your regular toys in to the tub...a many hot wheels were laid to rest after a couple of visits to the tub water. Enjoy!

Mr. Mom – Day 2
Mom is out barely 1 day and Julianna and Papa are already getting in to trouble. These pictures speak for themselves as to the fun we had at the expense of one large bath towel to mop up all the water on the floor.

Mr. Mom – Day #1
Papa is going to be Mr. Mom for a couple days as Chandra goes abroad for business. Julianna love's some highchair time so we took some pictures this morning after taking Mommy to the airport.

Elenore the Elephant
Julianna had two costumes this year. Mommy and Papa couldn't decide so since we had multiple events to attend we decided to buy them both. On Halloween night Julianna was Elenore the Elephant. She was sooooo cute! Papa took her to his company's Halloween party to show off his little girl and her costume received rave reviews! Enjoy!
Baby’s new Kung fu Grip
Julianna has started to grab a hold of everything. With that, papa started handing baby Jay some assorted items to see how she would react and caught a couple of them on camera. Click the pictures for the captions.

Bouncy Fun Time!
Here are a couple of pictures of Julianna on her latest fun toy, the bouncy seat. She can not only touch the floor with her toes now and bounce on her own but has learned how to play with all of the toys up top.

Tears of a Baby
Last week Julianna's tear ducts started producing and excreting tears so the phrase "Big Tears" now has true meaning as when she is very upset (which never happens right?) she will shed a tear or two. The phrase "Big Tears" for me dates back to when my sisters Kelly and Abigail were young and meant that it wasn't a tantrum or attention cry but a real cry of pain or desperation usually for food, sleep, or both. In mama and papa's defense we need a second set of arms and hands so that we can hold her AND make her a bottle when it's just one of us as Jaybird can get a bit tetchy when it is feeding or sleep time. Soon or just a minute is never quick enough. And though I usually like posting pictures, we don't have pictures of jaybird crying. 🙂

Julianna Giggles.
When Julianna was first born, I did not know that babies have to learn how to smile. They have no concept of what a smile is or why one would make such an expression. Why this was concerning is that I love kids and one of my trade marks is when I see kids in stores or meet kids for the first time I work to instantly bond with them and get them to smile. It is fun and a challenge but I mostly do it because I see a lot of kids that are getting ignored and want to give them a little attention if only for a brief moment in time. Julianna learned early on how to smile and also to smile back at you not so long ago, but this weekend Julianna me a happy papa when I was able for the first time not only to make Julianna smile and giggle, but to giggle at my laughter. It is one thing to make a baby laugh by tickling or making a face, it is another to have them laugh when you laugh, and that is was what was unique: Julianna laughing with her dada. It was a shared moment I shall never forget.
