Trip to the Zoo!
Did a family trip to the Zoo on Wednesday and had a lot of fun. We went just with Julianna as Adrian at 18 months is just a little too young plus we'll do a trip this fall when he's 2, a better age. We spent 5 hours at the zoo, went at a good pace, and still only got to see half the Zoo (Africa side) so when we go back we'll do the other side. Julianna did great, not getting scared, and really loved the experience.

Hooray for Hat
Last week was Julianna's 3rd birthday. We extended the celebration to Julianna's preschool class and I brought one of Julianna's favorite book to read for her classmates. The name of the book is 'Hooray for Hat'! In addition, I worked with a local baker to make chocolate cake pops to look like the characters (elephant, zebra, turtle, owl and lion) in the book. Julianna could not have been more excited or more proud. To sum it up using her words -- "You are the most, best storyteller EVER mommy!" Enjoy!

This year saw Julianna totally excited with easter and egg hunts. We did one at the house and two at Grandma Callicutt's. I captured the egg hunts on video and will post those this week (have a bit of editing to do first).

Texas Walker
Adrian (two weeks ago now) has gotten his walker! These shots are of the first day with Julianna and Adrian exploring this new toy/device. Since then Adrian has learned how to push himself…now we just need to work on the aim/turning! It is pretty funny to see the little guy mobile.

Earlier this year I got confused and posted that we had hit 200 posts. In reality it was 200 comments (thanks Maria!) and just under 300 posts. Well with yesterday's post we have had 300 posts! So it's official...now on with the posts!
Julianna’s Second Birthday Party
Julianna's second birthday party was incredible. She is so full of excitement and everything is a "wow" moment for her -- we are just so blessed to have her in our lives. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make her birthday truly special. Here are some pics of our special day -- we had TERRIFIC weather!

Julianna is the coolest thing to ever happen in my life. Posting and sharing moments about Julianna is both an honor and a pleasure. Everyday I look to teach or show Julianna something new and to perfect what has already been taught and in the process capture the moment or funny expression that we can use to look back on and laugh at all the fun we had. How long will we continue? For as long as Julianna tolerates papa's prying camera...
